Online Version

The online version of the Steps to Freedom program has the same content as the regular program. It too is 9 months in length in three 12-week phases.

We have provided an online version to make this program more widely available, for people who are functioning adequately, and who have reached a point where they want to permanently stop using or drinking, but who do not have a Steps To Freedom group to attend.

It is administered differently from the regular program where participants meet weekly.

1. Participants purchase textbooks for each phase (roughly $30 each phase). Sources for the textbooks are noted with the phase descriptions (see the Phase 1, 2 and 3 page links).

2. We email participants homework each week, which they then complete and email back to us, weekly.

3. Participants join an AA/NA, Celebrate Recovery or similar accountability group and attend meetings twice weekly. Participants are responsible to fax or mail us proof of attendance, each week.

4. Participants find a sponsor to be their accountability partner. (This person should be prepared to warn the participant if they show signs of slipping). We will need permission to contact this sponsor as needed.

5. We will talk on the phone and personally as needed.
We hope that this will make the program more generally available, and make it possible for many more people to experience the life-change they are seeking..

6, Clients are encouraged to attend weekly at a healthy Bible-based and Christ-centered church.

We hope that this will make the program more generally available, and make it possible for many more people to experience the life-change they are seeking.
